As part of the implementation of the Voltalia project to build the first hybrid solar and wind power station with a total capacity of 400 MW in the northeast of the Gizhduvan district, Bukhara region, NBT specialists and involved experts have been conducting a long-term biodiversity study on the project site since May 14, 2024. Studies are being carried out on the flora and fauna, including the identification of birds, reptiles, and mammals residing in the area. Using modern mobile detectors, research on the species of bats inhabiting the project site, their activities during the evening and night time are being conducted. Stationary camera traps and other research equipment have been installed on the project site. The results of these studies will help develop a wind station project that minimizes or eliminates the negative impact on the environment and the biodiversity of the region, which holds significant ecological importance.
