NBT experts conducted an audit and monitoring on environmental and social issues at the construction project of the Nur-Bukhara Solar PV Project of #Masdar. The purpose of the audit was to perform a comprehensive review of the project documentation and conduct fieldwork in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project site. The landscape and environmental conditions, as well as biodiversity and social aspects, were also assessed. Meetings with local residents were organized, surveys on the awareness of the local community and shepherds about the project plans were conducted and a meeting with local authorities was held. Based on the activities carried out and the data obtained, the NBT specialists will present their observations and recommendations for improving the project in terms of environmental and social issues.
