Nazar Business and Technology participated in the high-level project launch event in the framework of “Strengthening action in Uzbekistan on water and sanitation and protection of water resources from accidental pollution in the face of climate change”.
This project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and will be implemented by UNECE until the end of 2026. It is a collaborative project between two multilateral environmental agreements: the UNECE-WHO/Europe Protocol on Water and Health and the UNECE Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents.
The two-day event included a high-level launch, and technical meetings on WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), industrial safety, and the revision of wastewater standards in Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the representatives from national authorities, including the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, JSC Uzsuvtaminot, UN agencies present in the country and partner organizations, namely: UNECE, UNESCO, Embassy of Switzerland, WHO, and others.
