Within the framework of the Asian Development Bank project, NBT launched a pilot project on “Intensification of Horticulture and Increase in Productivity” in the Kitab district (Kashkadarya region) in order to expand horticultural initiatives and evaluate their implementation mechanisms, as well as to integrate and strengthen the value chain of goods. The project will be implemented from 2023 to 2027. The overall objective of the project is improving the living standards of small-scale horticultural producers and related value chain operators.
As part of implementation of this project, NBT specialists took part in the Mission on behalf of the ADB. During the mission, issues regarding ecology and environmental protection were raised. The team also visited the project site and held meetings with all interested parties.
