
NBT Group is actively participating in the Samarkand International Climate Forum (April 4-5, 2025), focusing on “Central Asia Facing Global Climate Challenges – Consolidation for Common Prosperity.”
The event united the Leaders of 5 Central Asian countries, the Head of the European Commission and the President of the European Council, key policymakers, and experts to address climate challenges and sustainable development. Discussions covered a green economy, clean energy, water resource management, youth perspectives, and sustainable cities.
Heads of States demonstrated strong political will to work together to address regional climate challenges and emphasized the need for urgent action to prevent adverse climate impacts. The President of Uzbekistan highlighted the Aral Sea crisis alongside efforts of the country towards environmental sustainability and green economic development, echoing the sentiment, “We do not inherit Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”
Beyond discussions, NBT Group engaged in a tree planting ceremony, symbolizing our commitment to environmental action. The forum provided an excellent networking platform to connect with potential partners and explore collaboration prospects to promote regional and international cooperation.
