The NBT team, led by our CEO Madina Iskandarovna Khalmizraeva, is successfully finalizing environmental and social standard documents for Central Asian countries as part of the World Bank’s “One Health for Pandemic Prevention and Resilience of Food Systems in Central Asia” project. The first phase of the project is being implemented in two countries – the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The project involves disseminating information on the prepared documents and conducting consultations with all relevant stakeholders involved in the projects, such as the Ministries of Water Resources, Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources, as well as the Academies of Sciences of the participating countries.
The program will place significant emphasis on the prevention and treatment of zoonotic diseases (diseases transmissible from animals to humans), as well as food safety and sanitation.
We believe that this World Bank project, with the support of all stakeholders, will lay the foundation for high-quality and stable development throughout the Central Asian region.
