“Nazar Business and Technology LLC” specialists successfully completed the first stage of biodiversity monitoring in the TotalEren project area “Construction of a 100 MW solar power plant” in the Samarkand region, Nurabad district, Tutli village.
One of the tasks of the team was to monitor the Central Asian tortoises, which are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan and #IUCN.
During the monitoring, the project area of 350 ha was surveyed for the presence of turtles and other fauna, including a fence and a protective (drainage) channel, as well as resettlement areas and a control “zero” site.
Field monitoring with the participation of all interested parties showed that the movement of turtles to the adjacent territory did not affect their livelihoods.
