Project description:

Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources (MAWR) of Uzbekistan and Farmers Association (FA) is implementing the Research Project on Measures Against Farmland Damage from Salinization (the Project) in Uzbekistan. The objective of the Project is to develop methods for measures on farmland damage from salinization in order to keep and improve agricultural productivity in irrigated farmland of Uzbekistan.
The purpose of the research was to analyze the water and salt balance through collecting data of the input and output of water discharge in two WUA basins in Syrdarya province.
